Extremely clean bike. Approximately 9500 miles were put on by the original owner. A second owner bought it after the original owner died. He put on a few hundred miles. then I bought it. I am selling it because it is too big of a bike for what I do. I had a CB400 that I would take down gravel roads and sometimes end up in situations where this bike would be too heavy to maneuver. It's a great bike. but not exactly what I need. I want to go back to a little lightweight bike.
Below I am going to describe the bike. I am extremely fussy so my description will be accurate. but don't let anything scare you off.
Good:
The finishes on the bike are amazing. The chrome and paint has held up well. Check out the picturesIt runs great. It starts right up with a little choke. It shifts smoothly and quietly. It has a brand new sealed Yuasa battery. It has an engine guard that appears it could be Hondaline. All lights work. No dents in the tank or fenders. Emblems are all there and nice. Side covers have no cracks or missing tabs. Gas tank has no rust. Paint is exceptional. (The metallic flakes and the bright sun didn't make for a great picture. )Owner's manual and tool kit is included. The following may be trivial but need to be noted.
The horn does not work. The front forks feel soft and there is a light film of oil that I noticed after use. There is a small chip in the gas tank. See pictures. It is small. Tires are towards the end of their lifespan. New white letter tires are still available to keep the classic look. Kill switch is a little faded. It had a sissy bar seat on it. Where it was mounted has a scuff on the bar behind the seat. (see pic). Seat has a few threads missing but no holes or rips. Right side cover decal has some chafing. but I am having a replacement made. Some of the emblems have a little bit of black paint border missing as is common. Can be touched up. Right muffler has a rust hole at the connection as shown in detail in the picture. This is a great motorcycle. I believe it will be a future classic. Honda even re-released a similar bike in 2007 in Japan.
