Description

Here for sale is my 1999 Honda CBR 600 FX. i have had the bike for 3 years and have used it mainly for commuting to work and the odd weekend blat. I'm selling her because i have a baby on the way and need something more practical. I'll try to be as honest as possible and any questions please email me through ebay. Viewings welcome along with test rides provided proof of insurance and asking price in cash in my hand (in case you drop it. in which cash you've brought it. )Good bits:Lovely Remus titanium aftermarket end can. Sounds sweet. Aftermarket two fingered gold anodised brake levers. massive improvement over the giant standard levers. Mechanically very clean for age. Chain and sprockets in great condition. New rear Pirelli Diablo tyre about 3 months ago. loads of tread. no punctures. Front tyre has plenty of tread left also. Has been regularly serviced by myself every 3000 miles without fail. with top quality oil. genuine air and K & N oil filters. full service history before that. Only 27. 00 miles on the clock. Engine mechanically sound no knocks rattles or noises. Aftermarket Indicators front and back. Givi Monokey Top box and rear rack included. very handy for commuting/touring etc. Not so good Bits:Bike was kicked over by some idiot about 2 years ago. cracked the left hand side fairing and rear fairing. Repaired these myself and resprayed in a kind of satin Black. Looks actually better than the original black/silver paint job. Paintwork generally ok but a few marks etc on close up inspection. its a 15 year old bike though so its to be expected. There is a slight Lean issue in the carbs or fuel section which needs some attention. shouldn't be a massive problem to fix and the bike generally rides smoothly and pulls well until you get on the motorway and crack it right open in the top end of the revs. a little lean perhaps. it seems like it could be a blocked jet or air issue and cant be anything too complicated to fix i just havent bothered because i dont have the time to take the carbs off and have a look. Someone with some mechanical knowledge should be able to sort it fairly easily i imagine. (I've priced the bike to take into account of this issue so please don't Email me with silly offers. will just be wasting your time. )Comes with Standard exhaust and some other original parts that i took off the bike and replaced. such as indicators and brake levers etc. Have a spare brand new head bearing set as when i brought the bike it had a slight knock from the bearings. this has gone now and the garage told me its because the bearings sometimes will warp a bit and go oval shaped. they turned them around for me to even out the ovalness. and its fine now. but there is a spare set that can be used in the future so you wont have to buy another set if need be. Spare new front sprocket with one tooth less than the standard. was going to change the power ratio for more street grunt but never got round to fitting it. Thanks for looking.
