1979 Honda XR 80

This bike has been completely restored with the correct parts back to better than showroom condition.

The frame and swing arm were sandblasted and painted Tahitian Red.

The torque tube. triple tree and chain guard were sandblasted and painted black.

The front forks the outers were polished and rebuilt with new seals and dust covers.   The inner tubes were re-chromed.

Handlebars were re-chromed.  Lever & lever perches were polished.

New grips and new reproduction cables were installed.

Rear shocks disassembled and cleaned.  Springs were sandblasted and painted black.   Rear shock adjusters were polished.

Gas tank was stripped and cleaned. repainted Tahitian Red. New gas cap and gasket. Petcock was cleaned and reinstalled.

Seat was sandblasted. painted black. and has a new seat foam and seat cover.

Air box was sandblasted and painted black. and has a new air filter installed.

New fenders and side covers painted Tahitian Red.

Rear sprocket. shifter and other parts were re-zinced.

Drums and backing plates were polished.

New brakes shoes front and rear.

New rims. spokes. rims strips. nipples and new tires. new chain.

Engine was completely rebuilt.  New rings. new seals. new gaskets. new carburetor. new clutch disks.

Engine has been timed and has spark.   New kill switch installed.

No gas. no oil. engine has never been fired.

Muffler sandblasted and painted black.

Lots of nuts. bolts and springs were replaced.

New decals installed on gas tank and side covers.

New Phillips head screws throughout engine.

Mag & Clutch covers stripped. sandblasted and painted silver.
