In 2008 my wife and I wanted to build a sidecar for her to drive around town. We had a Honda 160 scrambler so we looked for a sidecar to go with it. In June of 2008 we purchased a Cozy sidecar that was made to go on a scooter. The size was a good match to go with the Honda. The Honda and Cozy were paired up and used for about a year. In 2009 I had acquired two Honda CL175's. The sidecar needed a little more power so I made one nice 175 out of the two that I had. The engine cylinders. valves. clutch and carburetors were all redone. An electric starter from a CB160 was added since all the CL175's were kickstart only. We had Earles forks made for the 175 so that the handling of the 175 and the sidecar would be improved. New tires. tubes. chain. sprockets. battery. turn signals saddlebags. luggage rack and windshield. The seat upholstery of the 175 and sidecar are in great shape. The Cozy did not come with a windscreen but we we were able to purchase a used one. The handle behind the windscreen is made of aluminum. There is a tonneau cover for the CozyThis was my wife's "driver ed" car for her practicing to get her motorcycle license. She did get her M1 and does not need to use the sidecar any longer. We have driven the sidecar all over Placerville Ca. and it has been in a number of Christmas Parades and given 80 and 90 year old senior citizens rides around the fairgrounds. They had a blast. Something special to cross off their bucket list.
