For sale is a 1972 BSA Goldstar 250 B25SS. This is the street scrambler version of BSA's 250cc. four-stroke. oil-in-frame. off-road single. BSA offered the 250 in two versions. the Goldstar Street Scrambler B25SS bike and the Victor Trail B25T bike. The major differences being the front mudguard. handlebars. footrests and tyres. By all accounts these were a popular little bike both on and off-road when BSA brought them out. Although. apparently. these bikes were only manufactured from 1971 to 1973 making them fairly rare now. This is a 'matching numbers' bike and the V5 is present and correct. The mileage reading from the odometer is 13886. The bike has had a recent restoration and since coming to us has had a carb rebuild. a new battery. and a good check over. The Goldstar is standard apart from a spin-on type oil filter upgrade (apparently the original filter setup could be problematic). There is also a shut off valve in the oil feed line with a micro-switch to prevent the bike being started or run with the oil feed shut off. This Goldstar also features the optional tachometer and 8" front drum brake. The bike starts easily and runs well and everything seems to function as it should. All in all this looks a good. fun little classic bike. For viewing or enquiries please call Paul on 07887 520134 or Geoff on 07818 830854.
