WHAT A BIKE! WHAT A STORY!Back in 1990 I began college in Denver. CO and needed cheap. reliable transportation. I answered an ad in a local magazine and found a used bike. a 1975 Honda CB500T. I loved that bike and rode it with pride. It had a name: Dino the Dinosaur! In fact. it was because of this bike that I met my wife! On a chilly autumn evening in Denver I was at a local coffee shop and saw an amazing woman walk in. we had spoken briefly before so I approached her and asked how she was doing. She seemed down for some reason. Call it being home sick or just lonely. Dino to the rescue! "Would you be up for a ride on my motorcycle?" "yes!" she exclaimed. We were off on a magical ride through the streets of Denver concluding at Washington Park. It was an amazing ride with an amazing girl. One slight problem. cough. cough. I heard only the hum of the chain passing over the rear cog. OUT OF GAS! What and embarrassment! Here I was. on my first date with my future wife and POOF! Dino decides to die! Quick thinking. a local milk truck was slowly driving by so I flagged it down. "Buddy! Can you give us a lift home?" "Sure". he said. " You will have to ride in the back with the milk. ""No problem!" We exclaimed. It was a magical night and a story to remember. We are still happily married with two children. So what does this have to do with a bike on EBAY?Well. I found the bike 20 years later! However. this is not the exact one I owned in 1990. That one ended up at an impound in Denver and might still be there! I purchased this bike a year ago after seeing an ad for it. I purchased it from the original owner who took delivery of the bike in February. 1975. I am the SECOND OWNER! I have all the documentation and copies of the original title. I registered the bike in California so you will have NO problems getting it titled. This bike is 100% original. It even has the original air filters in it. I had the carbs cleaned and new seals put in. It runs great and pulls hard up hills. The tires are original as well so I would change those if you plan on riding it a lot. It has a dent on the right side of the gas tank. That can be repaired and is the only major flaw on the bike. The bike has patina and is a wonderful example of an all original Honda CB from an important period in Motorcycle history. It hurts me to sell the bike but I just don't ride it. It was fun for my wife and I to remember our many rides on that motorcycle. Please let me know if you have any questions. I take pride in making sure all my "engines" are in top shape and in great working order. I have restored many bikes and cars in the past and this is a great original example that just needs a polish and some gas! All the best and thanks for looking at my bike!
