Description
This was a back-up bike to his main rider. He was a senior citizen and the bike was mostly ridden in Sunday recreational woods rides. No speedo, o I don't know the mileage, ut engine and transmission were well maintained and are fresh. Lots of compression.
He was an auto transmission expert (his brother was a Husky dealer), nd the tranny in this bike is A #1. All springs, oller bearings, prague bearings, reewheels, tc. are good. Bike shifts perfectly. The transmission was inspected, orn or broken parts replaced, nd the oil changed after every ride. Kickstarter has updated newer style sprague bearing and doesn't slip.
The bike starts up and runs very well. Jetting and timing are dead on and the bike is very crisp and pulls like crazy. We're old Husky guys and this is one of the strongest running Husky 390's we've ever ridden. I would suspect the ports must be polished.
The rest of the bike is pretty much stock old school Husky. Chain and sprockets are fairly new. Tires are fairly new. Shocks have good dampening and don't seem to fade much. Headlight wiring is there. Plastics are good. The seat needs a cover. He found some slightly softer brake shoe material and the brakes actually work - a vintage Husky first!
Bike is in Syracuse, Y. You pick up or arrange transportation. Full payment due within a week. Thanks.
My buddy was a Husky automatic enthusiast. He recently passed away, nd we're selling some of his gear for his widow.
