1979 Husqvarna WR250 - Vintage AHRMA

Description

This bike looks and runs great! It starts easily with 2-3 kicks and idles smoothly upon warm up. I purchased it from the original owner approximately a year ago after it had been parked unridden in his garage for approximately 15 years. Spark was weak, o I replaced the original Motoplat ignition with a Powerdynamo system (formerly PVL), hich includes the magneto, lywheel, oil, nd ignition module. Not a cheap upgrade! I also replaced the air filter element, ill switch and petcock to get the bike squared away. All the original parts are included with the sale. The gas tank is in very good condition, nd was refinished at some point in the past. The tires (brand new rear tube), hain & sprockets, eat, nd fenders are in good condition. The speedometer works as expected and is showing 2543 miles.

The motorcycle will be sold with a Montana Bill of Sale. The VIN numbers match on the engine and frame. It’s spent its entire life in the “high desert” of Montana and has not been subjected to humidity or corrosion-causing elements so it’s in quite good overall condition.

As you might expect of a used enduro that’s now 37 years old, here are a couple of imperfections that I need to mention: The rear shocks are “springy” and likely need recharged; the steering head bearings need adjusted and greased; the kickstarter has been welded; the rubber carburetor boot has been repaired; the lights don’t work – the new ignition has lighting coils, ut I didn’t connect the lights, lus the headlight has a blank plate instead of a lense.

I have decided to sell this classic to downsize and focus on other projects. Please ask any questions you might have now! If you win the auction, ay for the bike, nd come to pick it up and find that my description was not accurate, hen I will refund your money (minus PayPal/Ebay fees).
