Regrettably for sale my 2010 sms 125. After returning to road bikes after a few years of riding off road only I decided to do my cbt before attempting my full bike licence. I looked at numerous bikes before settling on the sms. The dtr's( dated old technology) ktm's (hugely overpriced in my opinion) even road converted mx bikes (to unreliable)Having previously riden a husquvarna cr125 off road I was amazed by the power. equaling my newer ktm sx125 so having the sms with the same engine was a no brainer. So last year I set about finding a good example this it seemed was a bit of a mine field with abused crashed models owned by 17yr olds everywhere. Having looked at 6 bikes I decided to buy this bike as it was head and shoulders above the rest. The photo's really do not do this bike a justice. After collecting the bike I noticed changing down through the gears wasn't as tight as I like so I had fitted a new clutch basket. selector rod and while it was there new head stock bearings. I also fitted an aftermarket exhaust system with a carb off a Cr to unleash the full power ( be aware of bikes with full power pipes and not correctly jetted as you will be riding a time bomb) I then went about using the bike for my daily commute 2 miles each way and the weekend blast with my brother on his kx250 road legal supermoto and had absolutely no problems keeping with him. There isn't a 125 enduro bike that will keep with this many have tried and failed. About 6 hours ago I fitted a new piston kit and gave the engine a once over as a precaution its all tight. I have fitted the standard pipe and carb ready for a cbt fresh owner but I will happily re-fit the full power exhaust and carb so you can run the bike full power but if you have only a cbt you do so at your own risk. The bike really is a great machine and now after passing my full licence and buying a bandit 600 I still don't want to sell it as it gives more of a smile riding this through the bends on the band than a bandit ever will. However lack of space really does mean I have no choice. Mot runs out 27th November but it will have no problem passing Tyres are good. Plastics and graphics are in used but good condition for a 2010 bike. I fitted an aftermarket front headlight as the standard one is terrible in the dark but looks standard. Recent top end rebuild and check. Pile of receipts Not thrashed by a teenager I'm 31 The bike is used and is not perfect it's not a show piece but it is a great honest reliable bike that is tight and will last the new owner a long time.
