Hi all. Unfortunately I am selling my project bike for spares or repairs. Since starting the project I am now engaged and so need to free up some room. time and money. I'm sad that I cannot see the project through but I hope somebody else will get some use out of the parts or be able to complete it. If I get enough interest I will break the bike for parts quite happily. Included in the sale is: Frame - painted in Volkswagen Suriname Red (because I had some left over from a previous project). It has had the tail chopped off and a support bar welded in. The peg mounts have been ground off and mounts for rearsets fitted. The centre stand mounts have also been ground off. Everything else is as it was and is in good condition. There is no rust on it at all. New head-bearing fittedTank - Good condition. couple of minor dings but paint is soundThe wheels - aluminium wheels in good condition and tyres have plenty of treadBrakes - Front and rear calipers both painted matt black. Original front cylinder/lever and a Brembo rear cylinderRearsets - ZX6R RearsetsClip Ons - I bought the wrong ones - they are 1mm too big for the fork tubes so a spacer will need to be made or they can be replaced. Forks - New seals fitted and fully refurbed. Minimal pitting on the stanchionsRear Shocks - a little bit of surface rust but functionalWiring Loom - including recitifier and ignition circuit. ht leads. flasher relays. horn - everything that is needed for the standard bikeEngine - the engine currently has the cylinder head removed so that I could clean and paint it. but it ran before stripping it. Will need new stem seals and carb rubbers. The starter motor has been painted matt black and one of the side-casings has been polished up to a mirror finish. Exhaust - downtube and tailpipe included but will need modified to work around the rear-setsClocks - original and in good conditionHeadlight - mount included. All in usable condition but I was going to paint the casingVarious - throttle cable. tacho cable. clutch cable. battery trayService Manual - in a ring binder!Documentation - V5 present and registration plates included. Receipts for parts I've bought - brake refurb parts etc
If you have any questions. or would like to reserve any parts if I end up breaking the bike. please let me know.
Thanks
On 26-Jan-15 at 22:07:25 GMT. seller added the following information:Just an update to say that I have loosely put the engine back together but I have managed to lose one of the head nuts. They're easily replaceable and I probably have another one to fit but it won't match the domed nuts. The head gasket is also the one that was on the engine when I got it so you may wish to source a replacement. and there are no stem seals. I ordered replacements but received the wrong ones. There is a tiny chip (around 1 cubic mm) in the corner of one of the valve guides but the stem seals should prevent this causing any oil burning issues. Viewing is welcome in the evenings this week. I am 1 mile from J7 of the M5. Unfortunately I will be away from Thursdsay til Monday (29th Jan til 2nd Feb) but I will still be able to answer any questions over email. Thanks
