Description

Up for your consideration is a 2000 W650. It has been mildly cafe'd with a Corbin Gunfighter seat. 4LS Fontana copy front brake. 35MM Keihin CR carbs. Stainless Steel bobbed front fender. lowbar kit. Lucas style tail light and headlight. and slimline side covers. I put Hagon shocks on the rear. These look like the '60s Girlings with top and bottom covers. I put Girling decals on the shocks to give them that vintage look. None of the modifications are permanent if you want to go back to the stock configuration. I have an alloy Lyta copy tank that also goes with the bike if you want it. I also have the stock front fender. The bike came to me without the original seat and carbs. but I do have the stock airbox. The title is a clear Indiana one and I have the original tool kit. owners manual. shop manual. setup manual and a parts manual. I have a set of progressive fork springs that I haven't gotten around to putting in. I purchased the bike from a local breaker at that time it had a salvage title. The bike had been dropped and there is light pavement rash on the left and right engine cases. The frame was checked and there is no frame damage. The bike retains it stock exhaust system and sounds very much like a mid-60s BSA or Triumph. I rode the bike around last summer and where ever I parked. I always got questions about "what British bike is that?". The bike is a lot of fun to ride. It is quick. light and handles well. I replaced the old hard rubber with new Vee Rubber TT100 copies front and rear. In answer to a couple of questions I've gotten. Yes. I added a bar-end mirror on the left side. it can be swung in for storage. The grips are British Beston like you would find on a BSA. Triumph or Norton. I have put low bars on the bike and purchased the European low bar cable kit to keep things tidy. The headlight ears are the stock Kawasaki items. but the bike did not have turn signals when I got it. so I plugged the turn signal holes with rubber plugs. same for the rear fender and mirror mounts. Thanks for looking!
