Kawasaki Z1000 Californian CHIPS Police Bike

This is a real head turner. those of us who are old enough to remember CHIPS will instantly recognise this bike and it's the real deal and even survived a shoot out! We have all the info about it which was supplied to the previous owner by the Department Of California Highway Patrol. it was in service with the Police Department from October 1990 until February 1999 and it definitely saw a bit of action as it had a new crated motor fitted in July 1997 at 74. 32 miles due to firearm damage. All the original Police paraphernalia is still present including the aerials. sirens and blue lights and all the emblems and badges including its call sign of MC6. The motorcycle fleet within the US Police Departments are meticulously maintained. parts are replaced rather than repaired and this motorcycle will have received the very best possible levels of servicing which is also reflected in the good overall condition. It has two roomy side boxes which will have come in handy for storing handcuffs and truncheons during its former interesting life but will now have to make do with more everyday items such as waterproofs now it has left the sunny climes of California to live in the not so sunny U. K.
