KAWASAKI KZ 400--Rare and Collectible GEM of a SURVIVOR--1975 kz 400 TWIN CYL

Here is one i have to pass on to some one with more time. I just did a little checking up on these bikes and they have their own web page and maybe two or three by now. This is the mini z1 as told in the literature. Same man designed both bikes. This one is built however for dependability and durability as opposed to superb race track like performance. There is no rust on the original rims and the bike turns over fine but does need a mechanic to dial it in to be road worthy and to get it running. The electric start engages fine and turns over the motor. The tank has been repainted at some time and needs to be done back to the original scheme. The inside of the tank looks real nice. Last year when i was going to restore this bike i purchased An NOS speedometer and An NOS TACHOMETER. The lights and signals work as they should. I'm bailing on the project so i put the gauges on the bike so the next owner has a great start at owning a cool little bike like this. From what i see of the bike the pipes appear to be the original pipes and have not gotten any scrapes or flaking of chrome anywhere. Look at the pics real well and be your own judge once again. I have taken pictures of the date stamp on each pipe. The tires are original and should be replaced. They are dry rotted and the front tire will not hold air. The seat cover is not original but it does not look half bad. Anyone with mechanic skills can have this engine rebuilt or running to use as is. Restoring this bike is a choice but not a needed thing to enjoy this bike. I will let you be the judge of the bike though by checking out the pictures.
