1985 Kawasaki GPz900R ZX900 Ninja

This is a very nice all original 1985 GPz900R otherwise known as the ZX900 Ninja. This is the A2 model with very low mileage at 16204. If you listen to the engine you'll find it is extremely quite. I have 2 of these GPz's and this motor is by far the best in terms of power and refinement. Bike has been fully serviced with the following attended to: new oil. oil filter. plugs. coolent flush. air filter. brake fluid flush. rebuilt front master cylinder and brake calipers. carbs cleaned and rebuilt. Front tire is in good condition but the rear is getting close to needing replacement. Cosmetically all the paint work and engine look fantastic except for the tail section which could use some touching up. There is also a small piece of black pin stripe missing on the right side of the tank and a small crack at the top of the right fairing. Please review pictures carefully.

The bike also has its original exhaust which is a rare occurrence on these as they often rotted through or got replaced with louder aftermarket ones. Engine starts right up and idles quietly. brakes are impressive even though this is a 30 year old machine. The front brake is a 2 finger operation and with a good pull it is capable of locking the front wheel even in the dry. Handling is super stable and it feels like it is on rails going through the curves.

Owners manual shows previous owner purchase date of 7/25/98 at 11500 miles with new fork springs. head bearing adjustment. new chain and sprockets. valves adjusted and engine tune up plus Dyno run on 4/7/2000 at 12700 miles. This was followed with another service. new fork seals and aluminum radiator fan on 1/14/2001 at 14375 miles. From there previous owner rode it for another 1700 miles but got involved in other bikes and lost interest in the GPz hence its low mileage.
