Kawasaki Z650 1981

Kawasaki Z650 F2. 1981This is a Japanese "practical classic" which is in generally good condition for a 33 year old bike. Unrestored but has had the tank and panels repainted at some point.   As can be seen from the photos. this has been done properly with pin-striping etc and looks really nice (note that the V5 says "colour: blue"). Good points:Dunstall 4 in to 1 shortie exhaust which looks and sounds great. &N air filters. part from the exhaust and air filters. the bike looks pretty original and still has the centre stand. wo virtually new tyres. gnition. petrol cap and seat lock all on same key. ear wheel bearings replaced at last MOT. ew oil change and oil filter replacement. oolkit and "Optimate" type charging plug. onsistently starts easily. even in the midst of winter. ice looking bike which always attracts attention. 650s are comfortable bikes which ride well. are easy to ride and are a very practical bike to own with excellent spares availability (check-out Z Power).

Not so good points:

The bike looks better in the pictures than it does in the flesh so if you are interested in it. please come and see it before you bid. The bike idles well but is a little hesitant when pulling-away and you have to use plenty of throttle.   I haven't owned a Z650 before so don't know if this is normal or maybe to do with the set-up for the 4-1 exhaust. For some reason. the bike has has had lots of previous owners - the buyer will be the 15th! - so it's changed hands roughly every 2 years throughout its life.

The tax disc shows expiry September 2014 but I will renew for 6 months so that it's taxed until the end of March. MOT expiry is 07/12/2014 - last year the advisories (rear wheel bearings) were sorted out and it has done very little mileage since.
