Description

You are looking at the auction for my 2001 E1 converted ZX9R with 22. 00 miles and 12 months MOTIt started life as a regular 1998 C1. I bought this a while back and it had track fairings on. but in spite of this. I still bought it as it was the best ZX9R I could find for the money. As a qualified vehicle technician. paint technician and auto electrician. I bought this as a bit of a project. I hate/hated the 1998 ZX9R look from the front. so decided I wanted to convert the bike to the E1 shape. It has had. E1 clocks with brand new white Lockwood Dials. E1 front end (all new from kawasaki. receipts to prove)E1 wiring loomE1 mirrorsE1 headlightsBrand new LED indicatorsBrand new tail tidyHarris solo race exhaustRear solo conversionRearset spacersRace footpegsBrand new heated grips (Oxford Sports)Crash bobbinsBrand new bearings all roundNewly powdercoated wheelsNew tyres. valves and wheels balanced. New optimate adapterNew pipercross panel filterFrame stripped down and painted in factory colourWhole bike resprayed in gloss black with mica purple pearl finish (looks amazing!)All new genuine Kawasaki ZX9R stickers. all clearcoated over to prevent any discolouration or peeling. The clearcoat applied to the bike is Maxmeyer 0300 which I pay over £100 for as it is the best out there. most hard wearing. and has no die back at all. I have carried out a full service of the bike. changing every filter . spark plugs and oil (all genuine Kawasaki). With all receipts to prove. It will come with a BRAND NEW UNOPENED set of front and rear set of brake pads. I was going to fit these but the current pads are like new. The bike really is mint. it has just gone straight through its MOT and is ready to be taxed and ridden. The only problem with the bike is since the oil change. it has occasionaly slipped out of 4th gear. which is a common fault with this engine and costs around £300 to fix. I was going to convert the gearbox to a Z1000 box but unfortunately do not have the time anymore. Once it started slipping I stopped using 4th gear and just changed straight from 3rd to 5th. to prevent any damage to the box. It has plenty of power and changes straight into 5th no problem.  The bike does not even notice when you miss out 4th gear at all. There are plenty of excellent how to guides on the internet on how to repair this gearbox fault in a few hours. This really is a beautiful bike and turns heads anywhere I go. but due to personal reasons and very near misses with idiot car drivers. I know need to put an end to my biking days!I am not desperate to sell and have no idea of the value. other than seeing a 98 conversion with 30k miles 2 months ago sell for £2200! So that is why I have listed it as no reserve. it is only worth what somebody is willing to pay!As you can tell. I have spent an awful lot of money on this and it does owe me more than £2200. so please bare this in mind when bidding :)99p No reserve. weekend viewing possible or viewing in the week after 7PM. Collection within 1 week from Pattingham. Wolverhampton. Can be ridden away. it just needs taxing. Unless you want to risk it!Cash preferred. paypal or cheque accepted once payment cleared. Happy Bidding!

On 17-Oct-14 at 20:52:05 BST. seller added the following information:

Forgot to mention it has brand new black CNC stubby brake and clutch levers fitted. Genuine Kawasaki E1 front screen. It also has an aftermarket rear cowl undertray painted in gloss black. More photos to follow. Photos with the gay monster stickers are of the bike when I first bought it. I didnt put the stickers on so please dont judge me!

The tank and rear cowl are the only cosmetic parts that were on the bike when I got it. The rear solo cowl has been smoother to remove the rear grab rail mount holes which arent needed.

It has a rear pyramid plastics mudguard. painted in the same colour as the bike.

It also has full brake fluid flush and change and the same with the antifreeze.

It also has a proper LED indicator relay and not some micky mouse resistors hanging off the indicators!

I also have a brand new set of arrow LED indicators for it as some scumbag stole the clear covers off my rear indicators. (Why?)

I have been asked if it is rideable by a few people who are clearly a bit special. Yes it rides faultlessly. bar 4th gear. 0-60 time is incredible.  I have done over 700 miles since the gearbox started slipping in 4th. It really doesnt bother me at all. I just change from 3rd to 5th and like I said. the bike does not even notice you have missed 4th gear. I have forgot a couple of times and accidentally gone into 4th and it hasnt slipped at all. so it would appear to be intermittent.

Please dont be expecting a mint bike. because it is 16 years old. It does have its imperfections here and there. Cosmetically it is very good. There is a small spot on the inside of the front nose cone where you can see the red (the colour of the new nose cone when I bought it) but nobody who has looked at or sat on the bike has noticed.

I never like to use the word mint. although everybody who has seen it have never had a bad thing to say about it. and they all used the word mint.

The bike is HPI clear. but comes up as green on the V5. which was the original colour.

I can arrange delivery through a company I know. but feel free to use your own courier.
