1986 GPZ1000RX Complete and Original Restoration Project

I need to clear out my garage at short notice. so the winner must be able to pick up the bike from Watford by the 1st of December. Please do not bid on this auction unless you know you can collect before then.

This is a complete and original Kawasaki GPZ1000RX (ZX1000A1) which is being sold as a restoration project. since it has been off the road for about 10 years and is in need of a full rebuild. The bike has been stored with the fairing and tank removed but I have reassembled them for transportation. However. I?ˆ™ve not bothered reconnecting the fuel lines and electrics since I assume the first thing the buyer will do will be to remove them again!

The bike used to be a good runner. but it was starting to suffer from uneven power delivery when I took it off the road. Given the age of the bike. this pointed to the need for an engine rebuild ?ˆ“ which I?ˆ™ve obviously not had the chance to do.

Cosmetically. the bike is in decent condition for its age. There is some abrasion to the left hand side panel and a mounting lug on one of the seat side panels has snapped off. but could easily be reattached with some plastic welding. The tank was replaced with an official Kawasaki part shortly before I had to take it off the road.

Also included in the deal are a pair of unused Motad Neta end cans. the official Kawasaki and Haynes service manuals and a Bagster tank cover with clip-on tank bag.
