1976 Kawasaki KD-175 Motorcycle

I am the 2nd owner of this Kawasaki KD-175This bike is essentially a new motorcycle.   I purchased this bike 15 years ago in February. 1999.    It was purchased locally and was a "40-year old birthday gift" to a gentleman back in 1976 by his family. I have a private collection and know my local Honda dealer very well.   They called me up and told me of this bike and essentially said "you need to have this for your collection . it is like new. and come in and see it". The original owner traded it in at the Honda dealer for a new outboard motor for his fishing boat - at that point. he was in his early 60's.   He used it minimally. and he told the dealer it has maybe five hours on it.   That said. it would have roughly 100 total cumulative miles on it.    Due to the fact it was a gift. was the biggest reason the original owner kept it for as long as he did. The KD-175 is the stripped down version of the KE-175.   The KE has none of the lighting and needed street legal items that appear on the KE model.  This is the enduro model - completely off road. Many fewer of the KD-175's came in because most people wanted the street version. making this bike somewhat scarce. Making this bike much more scarce is it's condition.    It is essentially new.   Never down. never banged up and barely sporting even the smallest scratch. This KD-175 is completely original. even down to its original tires. I estimated I have used this bike about three-or-four times.    We live on 15 acres and it has never left the property.   The bike runs fantastic and needs absolutely nothing.   It was purchased strictly for my motorcycle collection and has been stored indoors. in a museum setting.
