1980 Kawasaki KZ1000 Z1R w/ Russ Collins Turbo

 This Z1R is NOT STOCK. I have a pile of receipts that document what has been done to the motor. as well as Dyno sheets that show the performance of this machine.

The vin # on the motor. to show its a Z1R motor is KZT00DE 019265.

Clear title.

I have owned it a short time but have installed a new agm battery. changed the oil and filter. gone through the brakes draining the fluids checking the brake pistons o-rings gaskets and pads. installed new fluid and bled the brakes. checked the waste gate. re torqued the head. new plugs. cleaned and re-jetted the screaming eagle carb. and cleaned up the bodywork and frame.

Some of the receipts I have will show several piston kits and a welded crank. receipt for the Russ Collins 5501 Turbo. it currently has an 1105 kit. it also has an aftermarket swing arm that I haven't identified.

I took this bike for a small ride around the neighborhood to make sure it ran shifted and the turbo spooled. OH MY GOD. It was awesome.

I know this bike should be black. I know its been modified. I know its missing a few things. Please bid accordingly. I do have one Z1R side cover badge. but no signals. the seat has been modified and has one rip near the tank and also missing the strap.

The inside of the tank is pretty clean with some surface rust.

As you can see the Collins turbo is weathered but intact.

The boost gauge on the handlebar has not worked but it may be the line.

Horn works. headlight works. tail and brake light work.

Both side covers are in excellent shape as well as the trim pieces that run under the seat from tank to tail.  The tank is straight with no dents or dings.

This is an Iconic bike. and you will not be disappointed. This is a very restorable bike with A LOT of muscle!

I'm trying to be as honest as possible. and will not hide anything. this bike is sold with no warranties. AS IS.

You can also see in the pictures that there is a clearance issue with the front fender and the exhaust because of the turbo set up. and as a result the fender has 2 dents in it.
