ARIEL HS500 SCRAMBLER

I bought two Ariel HS500s about 20 years ago.   I sold the other one and raced this one two or three times in AHRMA.   The engine and transmission work fine.   There are no broken fins on the head or cylinder.   The footrests are the original ankle breakers.   The front end is not original; I fitted a Betor front end. but if you win the auction I will give you the original forks instead.   The seat is a Bates and was on it when I bought it.   The exhaust looks like the original but I don't think it is.   The frame is not cut or changed.   It has the Lucas magdyno with the generator removed.   The engine # is: MH234. frame is: PRS248.   Both of these indicate the bike is a 1956.   I used an AMAL concentric which is not original; I am sure it would have to be cleaned out.
