1994 ZXR400L

 

Taken in part exchange today a ZXR400L. runs and rides very sweetly. with slick positive changes on the gearbox. i'd say the motor is good maybe excellent. quiet. responsive and non of the usual clacky top end noise. revs freely without hesitation. and runs well without overheating.

I've ridden this a few miles today and i'd say the chassis is in pretty good shape too. rides straight. brakes as it should. shock absorber is fine and the forks are leak free. sat on quite recent decent quality tyres. braided lines and smoked screen have been added.

Bad points. the exhaust is blowing slightly. so could do with welding up probably. the top fairing is a glass fibre copy. the rest of the bodywork looks tatty but isn't bad. satin black but original and quite reasonable. the cheap nasty LED indicators seem to work on a random basis and would need replacing. the footpeg rubbers are missing. there is a small scuff on the end of the exhaust can. the riders seat cover is worn and starting to crack when viewed close up in short this bike will need work. there is no service history or warranty and is sold on a trade sale/sold as seen/spares or repair basis. but you'll note is priced accordingly.

Priced to clear at ?695. there is no "best offer" or "what's the least you'll take?" it's a good. mechanically sound bike. tatty round the edges that needs a bit of TLC and is priced accordingly
