Many thanks for all the interest in the original listing (200+). High bidder did not commit. Here's your chance. Please take the bidding process seriously and contact me if you have any questions along the way -(816) 786-7534.Mucho Respeto, racias.
Guzzi Moment --Up for bid is a very nice, riginal, xample of the legendary 850-T. This is a cool looking bike isn't it? And bullet proof too.
This bike enjoys a very loyal following. As with many venerable classics, his machine strikes an important balance between design and engineering. The lines on the tank and side covers are Italian studies in design. The engine is a super rugged, ell balanced machine in an excellent size for the job. Set it in a Tonti designed frame, ook it up to a shaft drive synonymous with the brand and reliability and you have an excellent recipe for cult classic. The T in 850 stands for Tonti. It must feel good to get a chance to build your dream bike. A nice tribute to the legend.
Appearance --Black seems to suit this bike very well. There are some signs of wear on the tops of the side covers and one where the seat meets the tank. (Yes, ide covers are on wrong sides in pics. Let's just say I had some "help" with the detailing. They are correct now).
Overall, he paint has a deep gloss finish and excellent appearance. Show with pride, nd ride with ease. Take a tour of all pics at the following --

Mechanicals --This bike recently underwent fuel and ignition side upgrades. The tank was flushed and cleaned (it was in great shape, tw), ew petcocks were installed, arbs were cleaned, nd new needles and fuel lines installed. It was also fitted with brand new K&N air filters and the correct Dellorto velocity stacks. It needs one more round of carb tuning refinement, ut you're starting with very nice, EM equipment. The ignition side was also updated. She now wears brand new Dyna coils as well as the standard tune-up parts - plugs, ires, ew battery, tc. This bike has a pretty surprising kick. I realize the coils are more performant, ut I get the feeling this may have another secret in the works.
Lenses, irrors, auges, heels --There were a few wiring weak spots that were also addressed. The lenses are in great shape. So are the gauges. Everything works fine. The electric start button and housing is a bit weak. I understand this is fairly common. An assertive push of the button is all that it requires, ou can't just tap it. The bar end mirrors suit the bike so well that they seem more appropriate than the original setup.
Numbers matching original --
The head stock VIN plate and stamp on the crank case both reveal 93900 (ahh, he simplicity of it!) Quite a few of these bikes received some less that ideal modifications over time. Nice to see one that pays tribute to a design that has more than stood the test of time.
Questions, idding, hipping, tc. --
