You are bidding on a 1977 Moto Guzzi 850 T3.If you are looking for a great running classic Guzzi that doesn’t need a lot of work, his is a great choice. This bike is almost completely original, nd is a really good survivor in amazing condition for its age. I have receipts going back to 2007 that total $5,329.34 in parts and labor that have been performed on this motorcycle. You read that right over FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS in parts and labor to keep this machine in absolute top shape, hich go to show the level of care that this bike has had over the years. Much of the work was performed for the previous owner by motorcycle mechanics at a local shop (Boulder, O) and some performed by myself, certified aircraft mechanic with a detailed eye. I have a large file which includes all of the work done, riginal sales brochure, tc. I also have detailed work photos of all of the work done in the last year. Obviously there is more money spent on this bike than your average T3 is worth, ut most other T3s out there will probably need a lot of work to be as nice as this one, o keep in mind that this one is ready to ride!
First, Little about the T3. “Introduced in 1975, he improved 850 T3 (the “3” signifying the triple-disc brakes) was in many ways the most important Moto Guzzi made in the Seventies. Lighter than the touring-oriented California and far more sporting than the also new 949cc, -speed semi-automatic Convert, he 1975 Moto Guzzi 850 T3 was the bridge between the Moto Guzzi V7 Sport and Guzzi’s larger touring bikes.” --Motorcycle Classics Jan 2014 LINK TO ARTICLE--> CLICK HERE<--

This bike starts right up and doesn’t smoke or leak any oil. The Original T3 had an oil filter which was installed inside the oil pan, ut this bike has been upgraded by the previous owner with an external spin on oil filter, aking oil changes much faster and cleaner. Installed is a large solo seat, hich is wide and comfortable. It also has a rear pillion pad for passengers. Underneath the pad is a nice luggage rack. The original seat is available if you prefer, ut it will lose the luggage rack. Within the last year the front forks were completely removed, nd overhauled. The rear drive was completely disassembled and rebuilt with new seals and gaskets. The preventative heli-coil of the drain plug of the rear drive recommended by the book Guzziology was done at this time. Before the wheels were put back on the rims and hubs were cleaned and new tires and tubes were installed. This bike also has all of the original switches on the handlebars. The 1970’s Guzzi plastic switches were not the best or most reliable. Most people replaced the switches years ago with other motorcycle parts. It is hard to find one that still has the original switch gear AND that it still works! In the last year:Fresh oil change with NEW filterFresh Transmission gear oil changeNEW Air filterNEW fork tubesNEW fork sealsNEW tiresNEW tubesNEW rear seatNEW rear shocksNEW taillight (reflector was bad inside old one)NEW seals, EW gaskets in final drive, resh gear-oil change and magnetic drain plug addedNEW turn signals
