1981 Moto Guzzi Convert 1000 Motorcycle - Good Running Condition - Some upgrades

1981 Moto Guzzi Convert 1000. This is a 2 speed automatic which has proven over the years to be a highly reliable design. It is especially well suited to use with a sidecar or a trike style setup. This bike starts, uns and rides very well. Hasn't been ridden much in past couple of years and probably is due for a tune-up. Tank is clean, rakes are good, ights all work including brake light, orn works. Gears and clutch are good. Torque converter is good so works great as an automatic. Seat is good but has a couple of places that have been repaired. Tires have good tread and rear tire is fairly new. Battery is good. Wheels are solid and look good. Bike received new pistons and rings a couple of years ago. Also has timing gears rather than the original timing chain ($300 upgrade). Also has an "outsider" oil filter (another upgrade). The black paint is OK but shows its age. Bike has always been garaged. Overall, his is a good reliable old bike that has been ridden and taken care of over the years. Toggle switches operate lights and horn, nd another one must be on to start bike. Would be easy and economical to return to the original style switches. Bike is easy and quick to start.
