Description

Lovingly built for She Who Must Be Obeyed. this bike has been in the family for over 20 years. Originally a 500. it has had a very low mileage Nevada 750 Engine/Trans from a Cat C write off installed - this takes a lot more work than you'd think!. During the process this bike was thoroughly restored and updated with sensible mods and improvements - literally. thousands of pounds and long nights spent in the garage have realised what you're looking at:Frame. Forks. Wheels. All Brackets and Mountings etc Powder CoatedStainless Steel Fasteners throughout - only the wheel spindles are chrome - everything else is stainlessStainless Steel Exhaust System - sounds gorgeous - not too loud - but give it some welly!!!New Bearings and Seals on the Wheels. These bikes had a reputation for good handling and it's well deserved. with linked brakes and a good set of tyres you can charge around with complete confidence. Nothing upsets this bikes poise in the twisties. and the extra grunt of the 750 mill piles on the fun. Anyone that's ever enjoyed riding a 500 Monza - with it's revvy little motor - would be amazed at the transformation. Small in stature. precise. planted and lightweight. this little bike rocks. Not long after it was finished the missus slipped over on a patch of diesel at a roundabout entry - very low speed - no damage except a broken plug cap and a scratched silencer. However. since then it has hardly been used: 3500 miles since 2010!. Speedo says 60k. but this bears no relation to the age or condition of the bike - the engine is probably getting toward 8k = nearly run in!.  Starter motor can get a bit sticky if it's parked up and not used for ages. but once it's had a good run and been used several times it's fine. There are a few marks on the tank. where a jacket was being laid over it - GRRR! - otherwise. I can't fault it. I love this bike and will be sad to see it go. but it only gets taken out for a few hours every now and then and that's it - a shame really as it begs to be ridden. A dodgy knee and a change of lifestyle mean this rarely happens. so it's time to make some space in the garage. Sale also includes Genuine Workshop manual. and some spares: Chrome grab rail. mirrors. cables. original back light and a box of bit's and bobsMOT until 30/10/2015. Recently SORNed. you're welcome to come and have a look. there is a car park close by for a quick test if needs be. but obviously not without cash in hand!. Bike is advertised elsewhere. so I reserve the right to end early. Any Q's stick 'em here or try 07751076598 - bearing in mind it's Krimbo and I might be down the pub eh!
