Norton 850 Commando, 1974

Your bidding on a 1974 Norton 850, 've owned it since 03 when I bought it as a complete motorcycle but in need of restoration. The work was done in 04 and it's only been driven about 1000 miles since. A lot of work went into the restoration, ll SS and aluminum bits were buffed, ll painted parts redone, ew fork tubes, ear shocks, hain guard, eadlight pot, ignals and much more I've forgotten about. Engine was honed to 020 with new pistons, od bearings, alves and all seals and gaskets. Can't give some fancy meaningless name for the work, was a Norton dealer in the early seventies and have been a mechanic/builder/repair person ever since, have done 99% of the work on this motorcycle. Paint is a red that I liked, t's clear coated with the decals and striping under the clear. Tires and tubes were new a few years ago and have less than a hundred miles, xhaust headers, ufflers and front brake disc are also new with no road use since installed. Corbin seat is in great condition but does have one small blemish on a corner from being put down on a floor a little too hard. A few chrome bits like the kick starter, ear brake pedal and shift pedal could usere-chromeand the tail lightlenshas a crack that has been glued.The photos are from a few weeks ago and I've been this long deciding to list it. If you know how to start a British Classic it starts with one or two kicks and soon idles and accelerates as it should. This bike is pretty much the way it came in 74 with points ignition and Amal carbs that have been sleeved.The bike has mot been licensed since 13 but I have clear title and will give that and a bill of sale to the buyer. It's in eastern Canada next to the state of Maine, hipping can be arranged and I will crate if necessary for cost of materials. I can also deliver to the nearest US customs border (about 75 miles) and will assist with importing as much as possible.
