1951 Norton 500T or Trials. Very original Good Runner.

I am advertising this for a friend of mine. Rod. who is not on eBay. He is contactable on 01246 590129 directly for questions about the machine. This is an authentic 1951 Norton 500T. The bike has just been pulled off Rods farm where I think he has been blasting around his fields for years frightening the locals and chasing the sheep etc. The bike has never been restored and is bang original. It is not registered as many of these weren. as they were intended for off road use. Rod asked me to do a close up of the rear top frame rail and the underside of the tank as the way the tool box would fit and the way the tank is mounted go towards showing that this is a genuine 500T frame and not a knocked up 500T using a 16H frame. It has a dolls head gearbox and a proper Lucas competition mag fitted. It has an alloy barrel and head. It has a pie crust type front hub etc and an original smiths chronometric speedo. Basically. Rod is pointing out that this has all the right bits. The tank is original not repro. check the mounting out. the flip up cap etc. It has the original rubberized saddle. The bike starts first or second kick every time and pulls like a train. No smoke. no rattles. the job is bang right. Rod won. have junk about the place and has kept this because it has been so good a runner and because its so authentic. Its now moving on for another bike Rod fancies and thats it. If you want one thats blinged up. then maybe this isn. the bike for you. but one thats blinged up might not run anything like as good as this. If you want the real McCoy that hasn. been messed with. then this might be more up your street. Its got a few dings and scrapes here and there but the bike is a correct 500T and is still out there doing the job its was designed to do. Viewing is welcome. 01246 411977 for an appontment. Anybody who can get the one out his living room deserves a meddle. but I warn you Rod is tight as hell. In fact. can you here that big graunching noise ££? Yeah £ well thats Rod walking about right now !. But if you. e got some proper wages. then ring him and see whats to be done. Rod will deal. but he won. have his time wasted. You have been warned.
