Norton Commando 850

Norton Commando Intersatate 850 Real 70's throwback with its high bars (triumph) and cast wheels. The bike has been in this trim as far back as the 3 previous owners can remember so when re commissioned last year they were kept . There is rumours that it was once an ex Kent police bike that had cast wheels as standard £It was owned by a friend of mine who owned it for 15 years but unfortunately a dodgy leg and hip and being the wrong side of 60 made her just too much. Another friend bought it and did lots to it to restore her to former glory. This included new paint work. a new third gear in the box ( started to slip out of under acceleration). clutch plates. chain single carb conversion etc but then he suffered an accident at work resulting in a bad back and no way of starting her . I then bought it with a view of getting her finished but work commitments meant I took her to a respected garage with instructions to finish her off and get her mot'd.  They put on new electric ignition. new stator and rotor . finished off the electrics and a few nuts and bolts and off she went straight through no problems.  Since then I have done just over 100 miles but done some more 'bits' to her. stainless steel bits here and there. new rev and speedo cables. new speed drive at rear wheel. battery. . She is not concours but in very good condition. With the electric ignition and single carb she starts and runs great with loads of go but unfortunately I need the money and time to complete a loft conversion so she has to go.  All the old parts are included in the auction . feel free to come and look.
