Sinnis Eagle 50cc Scooter (Qingqi QM50T)

Hi. this is the 50cc scooter my son bought from ebay. He's had 100cc previously and thought this scoot would provide the same performance.

Ok. the bike starts and runs fine but it's top speed is about 25-30Kph (yes. all the gauges are in KPH!). Starts first or second kick.

The mileage is 10354 Km.

All the lights work as does the speedo and fuel gauge. Fitted with a Mikuni carb.

This is a 2-stroke scooter that has previously been dropped or has been over as some of the plastics are broken and have odd fixings.

The LH mirror is loose but is complete. The air filter gauze is not original but is clean and looks fairly new and cut from a different model. The exhaust is original and complete but could do with a lick of heat paint. Brakes work fine. Seat does not engage properly in the lock but when it does the key unlock works fine.

At some time the CDI wiring has been tampered with which may be the cause of the slow running. I did find a blue wire poorly twisted together so I've put an insulated crimp on it. There is another 'join' which doesn't look factory.

I'm an old school two wire and points bike addict so modern electrics are a little beyond me.

We have the V5C/2 tear off strip but the bike is not yet registered fully so the documentation will have to follow the normal DVLA timescales.

I would NOT recommend riding the bike away due to the low speed it achieves.
