VELOCETTE GTP 250cc TWIN PORT CLASSIC / VINTAGE MOTORCYCLE. BARN FIND / PROJECT.

Welcome to the auction for this lovely old. rare. unrestored Velocette GTP 250cc two stroke. Twinport motorcycle with girder forks. Possibly pre-war 1930's. Sold as a restoration project and non runner although i did hear the engine run when fresh fuel was put into the bore last year. but will not start now. Been in dry storage for years.  Engine kicks over fine with good compression. The engine has no broken fins and all metalwork is solid.  Old battery is dead. All electrics need checking over and some may need renewing.  All cables need renewing. Headlight needs some wiring and bulb holder is missing. There is NO V5 or any paperwork with the bike or tax disc. but a full receipt will be given. Engine and frame numbers are nice and clear and also has it's old registration number. I have some forms from the DVLA to register the bike. but this will be down to the new owner to complete. NOTE: The bike is being sold as a non running restoration project with no V5. Sold as it is. These old Velocettes are getting very hard to find in this unrestored condition. it will be a nice vintage project to take to shows or put back on the road.  5 Day auction. No reserve.
