1961 Matchless G80TCS Scrambles Motorcycle

1961 Matchless G80TCS scrambles typhoon 600cc.

95% unrestored bike

Unabused and looks like it came straight out of the desert

Original grips with leather throttle guard

Dunlop WM2 19" front rim with 3. 50 x 19 Avon trials supreme with correct bead locks.  

Dunlop WM3 19"rear rim with 4. 00 x 19 New Avon gripster tyre.  

Correct tank. two taps with no dents and correct fuel cap.  

Correct N/S oil tank.  

Paint work and chrome all excellent.  

Scrambles gear box ( rebuilt) 

Cylinder type air filter

Rear mudguard has been cut down just a little. also has a dent in it. Was going to sort it but it adds to the character of the bike.  

Also has a desert racing mod on the rear sprocket. effectively giving two ranges.  

Just had a complete engine/ transmission rebuild to correct G80TCS specification by Ken De Groome with spec sheet.  

There's no one better to build a AMC engine.  

All correct/ new parts used where necessary

32mm concentric Amal fitted. the bike runs better like this- pulls like a train.  

I had the seat re upholstered as the original was shot.

The bike still needs to be run in.  

Have all the relevant documents to register the bike (inc  US title) however to do this the bike has to be MOTD and it won't pass with 50yr old scrambles tyres.  

Regretful sale of a very rare bike.
