Matchless / AJS 1953 G80CS 500cc Competition AMC

Here is an exceptionally rare 1953 Matchless G80CS for restoration. It has the correct original matching engine and frame numbers and correct competition magneto  It comes with a club dating certificate comfirming it was built in September 1952 which makes it a 1953 model. however.  it has never been registered with the DVLA.  This bike came back from USA a couple of years ago and has been loosely assembled. The engine turns over freely but there are no clutch plates or primary chain fitted.  These bikes are very hard to come by and will make a great restoration project.  Please look very carefully at the photos because what you see is what you will get. Please note the front frame currently fitted is a replacement but the original frame comes with it but appears to be slightly bent. You will also see that one of the fins on the front of the aluminium barrel is missing. Please note UK buyers only and strictly buyer collects. Cash on collection.
