HMC 125 [new] desert racer conversion

I bought this bike new from a reputable bike dealership to use as a daily commuter and modify to give the old style Steve Mqueen  desert racer  looks like a mini triumph Bonneville. To modify the bike and give the[ desert racer] look the following work has been carried out.

I am a qualified engineer with 30 employment years of bike and car maintenance and restoration experience. working solely in a motorcycle dealership for 10  years.

New American scrambler type handlebars have been fitted with period grips.

Both tyres have been swapped with brand new Bridgestone on/off road Trials tyres.

The back wheel has been increased in size from 16 to 18inch and the new bigger wider rim has been professionally fitted to the original hub.

New chrome indicators have been fitted.

New inkeeping front headlamp also fitted to complete the look.

Stainless steel horn

Period rear mudguard and rubber mounted trials rear light

The tank has been stripped back to bare metal and been given several coats of lacquer.

A new Aston style filler cap and a chrome tank rack has been fitted to finish this off.

A new classic sports look silencer has also been fitted and sounds rich[nothing like a 125]

All decals are removable so that the new owner can fit if they wish[STP decals were used on some original bikes] but the Richmond decals fitted were also fitted

This bike really does look and sound a lot bigger than a 125 and uses the bombproof Suzuki gs 125 engine

The bike comes with the original delivery pack which  includes L plates and receipts . manual and v5.

I am only selling this bike to raise cash which I have pay out for emergency private Health Care. and will definitely be buying another to convert in the future for my own use. so reluctant but necessary sale.

Beautiful looking bike. fortune spent. nbsp;all original part come with the bike including rear view mirrors and front mudguard. I removed as I think personally it looks better without.
