Moto Morini 1984 3 1/2 Sport Motorcycle
VIN: K23118 Mileage 25898 KM (16092 Miles) This is a classic 1984 Moto Morini 3? Sport (350cc) K2 V-Twin. The Sport has the high compression engine signified by the “S” stamp on the engine. This bike was imported from NLM (North Leicester Motorcycles) in the UK. Before it was shipped NLM serviced checked and tested it. Here is the result of that as quoted from NLM – “There was a very slight noise from one cylinder so slight that we could have chosen to ignore it but that is not our style so we checked ignition timing to see if it was slightly advance no it was fine. Checked tappets. Good. Eventually we changed the barrel and piston and felt that we could not do that without putting in new piston rings and to put new rings in one cylinder was not really up to standard so we fitted new rings to both cylinders. With the cylinder heads off to achieve this we thought we would go the whole hog and grind in the valves. It was honourable but we ended up fitting new valve guides too! The job was finished yesterday so to check it last night my son used it to go home on a round trip of nearly 100 miles.” The bike is in original condition with the exception of the stainless front brake lines and pressure switch installed on the front brake fluid reservoir. It was installed because the UK does not require the rear brake light to be activated by the front brake lever and Texas inspection requires it.All instruments are working properly and the seat looks is in good condition with no rips or tears. The tires are also in good condition and a Shorai battery is installed. The electric starter works but it kick-starts very easily. Anyone familiar with Morinis knows that a solenoid activates the fuel pump and the petcock is used for reserve. There are two areas of wear shown in the pictures one on the bottom of the rear fender and on the fuel tank. Mileage indicated in the description is 16092 however odometer is shown in KM (25898). I purchased this bike as a rare classic V-twin enthusiast but retirement has gotten me involved in too many other activities.
Clear Title is indicated but because it was imported I had to get a Bonded Texas title which is equivalent to a clear title and has no impact on either selling or purchasing the vehicle.
