Description

Up for Auction is a very good original example of a Greeves two stroke desert racer from the 60's. These bikes are very rare. Most owners are collectors and own multiple examples.Bike runs good. New aluminum fenders. New petcock. No rust. Stored in garage. This bike has lived its life in So. Cal. Has original Dunlop Universal knobbies. Since they are original I did not want to remove them. But they are cracked and need to be replaced if ridden. Tubes still hold air and probably replaced at sometime. All cables in good condition. Seat has no cracks or tears. Tank was just recoated with Caswell Phenol Epoxy Resin. Advertised by Caswell to resist ethanol fuel. Gas was drained from the tank and carb run dry after it was started. Clear title but in previous owners name. When I bought the Greeves I was told it had been non opt. But when I went to The Autoclub they told me it had fallen out of the system. So I think you would need to have the frame number verified. A cool thing about this bike is that it came with a license plate. Previous owner could not find it. But the titled lists it as having one.Not sure if that means anything. Bike is listed locally for sale. I reserve the right to end the auction if an exceptable price is received, will help with shipping within reason but the cost to ship is the responsibility of the buyer. Will not crate. Deposit of$500 due within 24 hours after auction ends. Email with questions.
