1978 Maico Magnum 400 MX

This is a race ready 1978 Maico Magnum 400 motocrosser. this is in excellent  running condition.   The frame is a 336 (250 Magnum) and the engine is # RT 3371199 (400 Mag). This things runs great. and shifts thru all the gears fine. It is a little hard to start 7 or 8 kicks but once fired up idles & revs fine. This has Sun rims with no cracks bends or flat spots & has metezlers on them. The tires are a little worn but still have plenty of life left in them. Its got Magura controls with Maico dust covers. the throttle is a Magura whirlpull.  It has a new set of Renthal Bars and new grips. It  also has a very nice set of Works Performance shocks that look new. The engine has no cracks chips or repairs that I can see. the fins are perfect. The forks are in excellent condition but do need the seals replaced. they leak. The frame looks to be perfect with no repairs and looks to be nice and straight. The plastic looks to be fairly new DC Plastics with no scuff marks.  Sprokets all look to be in very good shape as does the chain. The exhaust pipe is in good condition with no flat spots or bends but does look like it has been repaired in the past . but they are excellent repairs. All the wear parts seem to be in good condition also.  The gas tank is perfect inside and out with no dents or rust. This bike is being SOLD with a BILL OF SALE only no title.     

I will  be happy to work with your shipper but finding a shipper is your responsibility. I am also willing to meet you free of charge within a 100 mile radius as long as 50% of the bike is paid for and you can pay the balance in person. I will also build a crate for a nominal fee of $175. 00 including the materials if needed.
