1975 Maico MC250 AHRMA Vintage Motocross MX AW Magnum MC

Available for Ebay sale is this beautifully restored 1975 Maico MC 250 Motocross Racer.

On display in a private collection for approximately 6 years. this motorcycle has been stored in a climate controlled environment. cared for and enjoyed by a true motocross enthusiast; the bike has not been ridden or run in since complete and total inspection. overhaul. and restoration. The engine has been turned over periodically and a little Marvel Mystery Oil has been periodically shot into the sparkplug hole from time to time to keep things moving nice and smoothly.

The bike has a real ?ˆ?Factory Look?ˆ?. built to resemble a pro?ˆ™s race bike of the era.

Front forks are from a later model. I believe a 1976 AW. but I am not 100% certain on that. they are a little longer then stock. the rear shocks are brand new Works Performance Dual Rate Gassers (sprung and valved for a 190lb rider) and those are slightly longer then stock. The bike has a balanced and somewhat ?ˆ?long legged?ˆ? look than as originally specd?ˆ™ in 1975.

Motor was completely rebuilt by Vintage Maico. South Carolina. and although. they are no longer operating they were at the time one of the most well know authorities on Maico race bikes.  

The bike bristles with new parts; everything is new or finished to a very high level. Aftermarket plastic has a nice look that is similar to the original Falk plastics. the seat foam is new and the cover is custom made with textured VW vinyl (a popular modification back in the day). handlebars. levers. cables. brakes. wheel bearings. kill switch. tires. tubes. grips. pipe. silencer. and chain are all new. Wheels are Excel with stainless spokes. they were very lightly used when the bike was built and look amazing. finished with fresh paint on the frame and tank and complimented with considerable attention to detail round out the presentation.

Included is the original Certificate of Title from 1975 as well as the original owner?ˆ™s manual.
