1965 Volkswagen Apex Motorcycle. Rare variation only released in Europe!

Hello! You are bidding on a rare gilera variant that was made for the volkswagen company in Germany. The bike was made in 1965 by the gilera company of Italy. I have found others in Europe but have had not had any luck locating one matching in the u. s. I bought this bike from a man who purchased it in Germany. while he was in the army. in 1966 new. He took it apart and shipped it in pieces to the u. s. And never re assembled it. This bike sat for many years in pieces till I purchased it and put it back together. There where a few pieces that where missing that I was able to salvage from a parts bike made by the same manufacturer. 95% of the bike is original. I put together a brake switch that would work. and have yet to make it permanent. There is a ding on the left side tank. There is surface rust over the entire bike. and most of the chrome is missing from the rims and there is rust there. It has the original italian Pirelli tires. I have installed a new mikuni 18mm carb on the bike for reliability reasons. I have had the seat re apolstered and the seat pan redone. I will include the original delorto carb and air filter. We are not sure about how these came to be. whether they where promotional. or intended for regular production. This bike is titled as a volkswagen. It is a Volkswagen. There is some new hardware I used to put it back together I have always used metric bolts the same as they would have been.
