1912 SHAW

This is a beautifully restored 1912 Shaw motorbike.If you dont know about these,they were built in Galesburg,Kansas from the early teens through the early 20s.This one is beautifully restored.The paint is show quality automotive paint.The nickol plating is stunning with no pitting.The striping and graffics are all hand done.(no decals)They were done by the best striper in the countey Bob Bonds.He did all of Gearge Barris cars.(the munster cars and the Batmobile)just to name a few.The paint work was done by Jeff Wilson.(gas from the past)He is the best painter in the midwest.The motor was rebuilt by the best antique motor guy in the hobby,Dave Bagne.It was rebuilt and bench tested for 30 minutes then all fluids were drained before it was installed on the bike.The tank has not had oil or gas put in it since it was rebuilt.So it has no smells(so your wife will let you put it in the house like a piece of art.)The belt is the early style like they used in the teens.All of the uluminum parts including the motor brackets have been highly polished.The wood rims have been restored beautifully and the original hubs have been rebuilt and nickoled with new spokes.The wheels run true and smooth.The pedals are stunning and restored with n.o.s. rubber foot rests.The tires are really nice original single tube tires.The seat is n.o.s. and beautiful.The gold striping is incredible.The grips are a perfect copy of the originals.The head badge is n.o.s.If you are serious about it you can email me and we can talk about it.My email is toyman at kc.rr.com.Shipping is up to the buyer,but I can help locate one for you.Might do a partial trade if you have something that interrests me.You wont find a nicer example of a vintage motorbike.These are rare and very hard to find.
