Road legal Yamaha Tri-Z 1986As you can see from the pictures it really is immaculate. Its unbelievable to think its 28 years old. MOT until End October 2014. Tax just ran out September 2014 (road tax is £40 for six months). I use Bike Insure for insurance and they find the best rates specifically for trikes (I am a 23 year old male. and pay just less than £500 per year with 0 year no claims on this vehicle). It can be used on a bike licence or car licence. It would be well suited to an enthusiast who will keep this rare vehicle in the condition it is currently in.  It runs fine. sounds awesome and pulls strong. Its recently been looked over by the one of the guys in the service department at a local bike retailer who's confirmed its running really well and is very clean.  Ready to use on the road or to be stored and admired. Most will know these machines but for those who don't they do require a bit of getting used to and they do put down a substantial amount of power for a 250cc so just be aware what you are committing to. HistoryI bought this just under a year ago. from lichfield. The previous owner had just done an excellent job of rebuilding the vehicle. The only non-standard items on the vehicle are:The front black Yamaha Warrior velcro fork covers - it never came with any suspension covers so I purchased a pair of original red rubber fork gaters from the US (never fitted them but these will be included in the sale) and I also purchased a pair of black Yamaha Warrior Velcro covers (as shown in the pictures) and fitted these for easy access to the forks and to prevent moisture being locked in The seat cover should be red. I never changed this as the blue colour looks really good on the vehicle. It would cost minimal money to get this re-covered in red should an enthusiast want to get this back to the original colourYamaha Warrior rear shock - these tend to be a natural direct upgraded replacement of the original shock. Front sprocket - the original sprocket was replaced for a slightly longer gearing ratio for the road and to counter-act the affects of the smaller rear tyres. Road legal components (e. g. horn. indicators. battery)My ownershipDuring my ownership I have took it out around the rural lanes near to where it is kept (a set route of about 5-8 miles in length) about once a week/every two weeks (and whenever dry) during the summer of 2013 and the same frequency this summer. I had to run the trike in when I first purchased it due to the new top end the previous owner had done. and it has had c15-20 hours use during my ownership. I renewed the MOT last October and have recently fitted a new horn and changed the oil. I had a new clutch cable fitted last weekend. OperationThe trike operates as good as it looks in the pictures. The indicators and horn run off a battery which does not recharge when the trike is used. It will require recharging every now and again - I tend to disconnect the battery after each time I used it. There is no speedo fitted as part of the sale (I used a GPS based speed capture on my phone). However a digital speedo will be included in the sale (the one I originally bought is designed for a normal pedal bike but it can be fitted - I always preferred the GPS on my phone so I never actually fitted it). There is also a waterproof phone holder which clamps on to the handle bars if you wish to use a mobile phone with a GPS speedo app. SaleNo test pilots. There is nothing wrong with the vehicle.
