1955 Velocette 500cc Chopper, 1970s Old School Custom Built Show Bike !!!

The chances of coming across another Velocette like this one are pretty much zero so this can be considered a very very rare bike. This bike started life as a standard Velocette 500 MSS in 1955 and was made in to this groovy chopper in the 1970s. Its spent most of its life as a display piece but was originally built to a very high standard for show and go. I do understand that stock resto guys out there and rivet counters will be horrified by a vintage Velocette in this style. For custom guys out there shock factor is and has always been part of the custom scene so should appreciate this. The bike was last used in the 1980s but has only ever done minimal mileage since first built in the 70s. It turns over nice and smooth with good compression but I have never started it up. This really is a part of chopper history but has lost a few small parts over the years. No levers or cables other than the throttle cable but all parts to recommission easily available. Missing some hardware from the front wheel spindle. Just washers and the nuts etc. The chromed girder forks are real quality and the wheels are Italian Borrani's. Engine fully chromed with some nice detailed machine work to the cooling fins. It was obviously built as a day light bike only as there is no lighting. Showing a little patina consistent with a custom bike built decades ago. Its now MOT exempt so could be back in use next summer with a little enthusiasm. V5 is in my name along with all known history obtained from the DVLA. Original Velocette factory stampings on frame and engine still clearly visible.  Non transferable reg number obtained in 1992 after the original valuable number was sold on. I have too many projects but no bike to use at the moment so may consider a swap or part ex. The above within ebay guide lines and the bike is advertised elsewhere so auction may end early.
