fantic 240 trials bike project

 hi here we have my fantis trials bike it is a mono shock i think it is an early 1990s model. it is listed as a project as the is a knocking from the engine which i think is the big end. there is also an oil leak from the kick start shaft due to the outer flywheel cover being broken see 6th picture. the engine is a 212cc air cooled 2 stroke which kicks up easily the rear mounting has been broken off in the past and a steel frame made which holds the rear of the engine in nicely. the engine has been repainted with engine paint. pares are available from bob wrights. he frame has been stripped and repainted. he previuos owner has had the front forks rebuilt. he brakes work fine the front is a brembo with new pads. the tank has been resprayed to a good standard. the exhaust is in good condition although the front down pipe has a large dent in it see last picture. the wheels are alloy and are in good condition with the front having new uprated bearings fitted. the body work has been cut behind the seat to shorten the rear mud guard and rejoined by being rivited to an alloy plate. of the brake disc bolt cups have broken i have these to match up. the tyres are old and cracked. have not ridden the bike as it was not running when i bought it when i got it going i found the engine problem. the bike looks tidy i just dont have the time to sort the engine so thats why its for sale these bikes are for sale on here for £1500-£2500 so is well worth sorting. any questions just use ask seller button. iewing is recommended. o i will not take £50. ny push bikes or pellet guns for it or ship to africa. yes these have been offered to me lately !!!
