This is a lovely example of a 1934 Rudge Special. 500cc 4 valve. twin-port single cylinder motorcycle. Easy to start. runs and rides beautifully. I restored this bike over a period of two years. finishing it in 2012 and I've done just £1600 miles on it. The frame (54029) is from 1934 and the engine (3355) is from 1932. The bike was exported when new and was repatriated to The UK in 1974. It was given a current registration number at that time. so sadly it doesn't qualify for free road tax. nor is it MOT exempt. 12 month MOT certificate included. It has a foot-change. positive stop. four speed gearbox. It may well have left the factory with this. or it may be a later addition. The tank still has the screw holes for the hand change lever; I believe that this was normal. even if the foot-change was factory fitted. The engine sound absolutely gorgeous. possibly the nicest sounding engine ever fitted to a motorbike. It's lovely to ride; I've done a few 250 mile days and she runs faultlessly. If you have any questions. please contact me through ebay or ring me to arrange a viewing 01377 240388 or 07765 603040. The bike is near Driffield in East Yorkshire.
