1959 James Captain K7 Classic Vintage Motorcycle

I reluctantly offer for sale my 98% restored James Captain K7. As can be seen in the first two photos. the James. although complete and matching numbers. was in very poor condition when I acquired her and I set about stripping her down to every last nut and bolt. The original engine was professionally rebuilt by Simon at Nametab Engineering and is still to be run-in. various parts re-chromed. frame and wheels powder coated. new wiring loom. new tyres. seat recovered plus many new parts purchased all backed up by a file of invoices. I even bought the original number plate. 770 CBJ which I saw for sale and have repatriated it to the bike and of course is transferable. The James would make an ideal winter project with very little more to do apart from getting a hold of petrol tank and new shock absorbers. The hard and expensive work has all been done!I've decided to sell frankly as I've hit the wall with the restoration process which has taken an eternity waiting for parts to arrive and so on. The last straw has been the petrol tank and new shock absorbers which I entrusted to a fellow enthusiast to paint and detail but has appeared to have done a runner with them. I realise I'll never even begin to recover anywhere near the amount spent on this project so I have set a sensible asking price which only covers the engine rebuild and number plate.
