1974 Penton 250 Motocross Vintage AHRMA

Up for auction is a race ready 1974 250 Penton.  This bike was built for racing. not for looks.  It starts easy and runs excellent. shifts perfect and stops perfect.  The stock airbox has been removed to make room for the GEM reedcage and Mikuni carb.  The pipe and silencer are made by Jemco and the silencer is removable and repackable.  The rear shocks are rebuildable Works Performance and they work perfect.  The forks have caps with air valves for added adjustment.  The stock rims have been replaced with Sun rims.  The handlebars are Renthal vintage bend.  The trickest part of the bike is probably the clutch. You can pull this clutch in with one finger due to the relocation of the actuating arm and cable.  The Bridgestone tires have about three rides on them.  The stock footpegs have been replaced with IMS oversize pegs.  This Penton won't win any beauty contests but on the track it will win races.   I do not have a title for this bike. the winning bidder can have a bill of sale if needed.  Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements.  I can store the bike for a couple months until pickup as long as it's paid in full.
