Classic 1965 Velocette Le 200cc Ex Metroplitan Police Bike

 This is my 1965 Velocette Le MkIII . a 192cc motorcycle built originally for the Metroplitan Police in London. Registered on the 1st of February 1965 with its original plate CYM 555C. I have the original green registration document to confirm this. The new V5c is registered in my name after I acquired the bike in November 2013. The engine turns freely and was running up to a year ago. The tank has been drained and the battery removed for storage. It has a flat rear tyre which needs to be repaired but otherwise the bike is essentially all there. I do have a screen for it which I will include in the sale but this is currently not with the bike. The green registration document shows a change of engine in 1968 prior to its demob from the Police and it retains the engine fitted then. I have several projects which need to be prioritised and this means that the Velocette needs a new home. hopefully to be put back on the road much sooner that I would have got round to it. The bike is located near to Margate in Kent and inspections are welcome. depending on my work commitments. as long you are seriously interested. As can be seen from the pictures. of which I will be adding more. the bike is in pretty good condition with it never before having undergone any major work. A great opportunity for someone to put this old lady back on the road. Cash on collection preferred however I will discuss other options should it be required.
