I bought this Vespa to sell on but it's such a great bike I ended up keeping it and getting a bit carried away. I live in a seaside town so during the summer parking is impossible. I have used it for getting around town. going to shops and taking my daughters to school every now and then for a treat. I even put it away in November until March in my store.

Last year. just as I was about to put it away for the winter. the milometer stopped working as it was turning from 9. 99. 9KM to 10. 00KM. so I fitted a replacement with a black face that looks much better. it was showing 1665KM (mileages shown on MOT) The distance is now 2170KM so the bike has covered in total.

(2170-1665=505+10000=)10505KM or 6527miles.

While it was off the road I fitted a 200cc engine which had only covered 4. 00KM. I removed the ugly rack and put the chrome grab rail on.

I had the Wheels colour matched and had the seat professionally re-upholstered with a handmade cover that is much better quality vinyl. Then I got the engine and water pump casings polished. fitted a pair of Michelin Power pure tyres (they've covered 303miles to date) and to top it off I fitted a Malossi air filter. high flow oil filter and fresh oil as per spec. oh. and a new Battery.

I genuinely love this scoot and both my daughters are complete scooter heads now. with posters on bedroom wall. It starts first time every time. rides faultlessly and if I do say so myself looks fantastic. It accelerates briskly holds a good cruising speed and it's got four stroke reliability with all the cool that comes with the Vespa badge. but it's time to move it on to make way for my new project. a 1975 BMW R60/6.

The seat latch is broken. there  are a couple of minor scratches which have been touched in with colour matched paint and there are a couple of rust spots on the mirror stalks but not so you'd notice. the front mudguard needs a bolt put in and sometimes the ignition key needs a wiggle but that's it.

I've still got the original 125 engine and carb which all work fine except the carb needs a new diaphragm which can be bought separately for ??175.

Please study the pictures and eBay-mail and questions. This really will make any new owner proud. Good luck if you have a bid.
