DEPOSIT TAKEN - For sale; my 2008 Royal Enfield 500 Electra X. It is in excellent condition and has only done 741 dry miles since new!

If you have been watching Guy Martin. then this is the bike for you. This model (IMHO) is the best Enfield you can get. It has the basics of the original 1947 design but with sensible and useful modern additions. So you can drive a real classic but it has disk brakes. indicators. electric start and electronic ignition. The earlier models had none of these extras and it makes them difficult to drive on modern roads. whereas the more recent EFI is a completely modern bike trying to look ‘old’ and retro.

I bought this bike four years ago from (another) old guy who had only out 93 miles on the clock in three years. Since then I have managed to put on another 650 miles. but as you can see. she is practically brand new. She was serviced at 500 miles with oil and filter change. etc. She is now pretty much run in.

The bike is completely standard. except for the addition of an iridium spark plug and extra-long mirrors (I was sick of looking at my elbows). The bike has not been ridden in the wet and is kept in a garage and on a battery trickle feed.  I have also got a complete works manual. some oil filters. a complete gasket set and a spare exhaust pipe to replace the blueing. All of these will be included in the sale.

Sale for health reasons (my wife will kill me if I don’t sell some of my bikes J). The bike is priced to sell. I don’t think you will find a similar spec/aged bike at this price.

The bike is MOT'd until May but I will put 12 month's MOT on the bike if the buyer pays the full price.
