SUZUKI GSX400FW (WATER COOLED) 400/4,1985,JAPANESE MARKET IMPORT PROJECT .

Bit of a rarity here . This is a early 80`s Suzuki GSX400FW Water Cooled 400/4 (GK71A) built specially to homologate these bikes for the Japan TT F3 race class . These bikes are the work of Pops Yoshimura and were never officially imported here . This model that was only built for two years before the GSXR version arrived. the early ones of which used this motor . This bike is a project as its been off the road since about 2008 . The cosmetics need a bit of TLC but the bike is almost complete except for the lower radiator panel . It has its original exhaust but this has seen some welding done to it in the past around the 4 into 2 connections . The rear brake is still working but the front ones need overhauling and the tyres would need replacing . The motor spins over freely on the starter and there is a good spark on the plugs . The carbs will need removing and cleaning along with a new battery to get her up and running . Chain and sprockets appear in usable condition . This motor puts out 52bhp which is pretty impressive for a 1980`s 400 and the bike will make a great runaround for someone. The bike was built in the mid 80`s but date of registration in the U. K is 1992 .  I am only selling as I have a couple of other bikes to do up so wont get round to doing this for quite some time and need the space freed up .
