I bought these bikes a few years ago with the intention of fixing one up from its original condition and the other was to be used for spares. I did some work on the maroon coloured bike however I now realise I don't have the time and in some regards expertise to finish it off . The maroon one (which was originally black) and fully complete was running albeit a bit smokey. Local mechanic suggested that because the bike had been sitting unused before I bought it probably needed new valve seals (new ones provided) and the carbs needed to be cleaned and balanced - still to be done. The engine for the maroon one has had a Wiseco 1100 cc big bore conversion and this is recorded on the V5.
The maroon bike basically is complete and just requires the refurbished engine and carbs to be fitted once they had some work to them.
There are a few photos which show the condition of the maroon project bike and one of the donor bike. In the other photos are the spares/components associated with the project bike. which are listed below:
- 1 Harris stub exhaust - 1 Marshall 4 into 1 exhaust- 2 sets of the original carbs - one set with the K&N filters is for the maroon bike- 2 complete sets of original air boxes - spare brake and gear levers - 2 side panels- 1 spare tank with fuel level indictor and tap- 2 sets of original tank badges - spare clutch and brake cables- new oil filter- 1 battery - is new but will need charged- spare indicator lenses various other bits and pieces - The engine (on the garage floor) is complete and has had the Wiseco big bore conversion (complete with all the engine mounting bolts and plates) - V5 reg document with the maroon project bike - (I have not changed it into my name yet as was going to do this once it was on the road) - New brake pads front and back - brakes on maroon bike have been bled so will need new fluid and checking over thereafter. - Keys for both bikes
The donor bike (without the tank) is a non runner. The guy I bought it off said it was nicked and then recovered - the little sh*ts did clean cut some of the wires in the loom at the head stock and it hasn't run since.
I cannot find the chain for the maroon one - assume not available - but will keep looking.
I have tried to list everything as best I can and stress that this is a project for some one with more time and experience than I have so no warranty given and/or applied. But with a bit of work there should be no reason to get a modern classic back on the road and have a lot of spares also.
This is a job lot - not selling off individual bits - successful buyer must arrange collection and transportation.
The payment will be cash on collection only. If you have any queries. just send me a message over eBay and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
I have set a reserve as I am aware that these bikes are becoming rare spares are becoming hard to find and are also expensive.
